Am Dienstag waren wir in Bodega Bay. Viele von euch kennen doch sicher den Hitchcock Film "Die Vögel". In diesem Ort wurde der Film gedreht.
Zuerst haben wir uns verschiedene Drehorte angesehen, wie die Kirche und das Schulhaus. dann sind wir weiter zu einem kleinen Geschäft, was schon fast als Museum bezeichnet werden kann.. alles drehte sich um den Film.. Es gab Postkarten, T-shirts, Pullis usw..
Dort haben wir dann erstmal eine kleine Stärkung zu uns genommen und sind danach Richtung Hauptteil der Stadt. Dort fanden wir dann das berühmte Restaurant "The Tides" und die einst in die Luft gejagte Tankstelle xDD Allerdings fand man dort kaum etwas vom Film, was eigentlich schade ist..
aber es ist ein sehr schöner Ort :)

als nächstes sind wir zur Sonoma County Fair (ähnlich wie eine Kirmes) gefahren, wie eigentlich jedes Jahr ^^
Dort gab es wieder allerhand zu sehen.. Es gibt Wettbewerbsaustellungen von Kindern und Erwachsenen.. das können Zeichnungen, Kucgen, Gebasteltes, gezüchtete Blumen oder Gemüse etc. pp sein ^^
dann gab es wie immer eine große Verkaufshalle , wo man alles mögliche kaufen kann und natürlich Fahrgeschäfte ^^
Wir haben auch was leckeres dort gegessen, ich hatte Pestonudeln und meine Eltern und Stiefbruder hatten mexikanisch ^^
Allerdings hab ich an diesem tag auch merken können wie gut es uns doch preislich in Deutschland geht ^^ Ein 3 Seiten Fax nach Deutschland von hier kostet z.B.: 20 Dollar oder aber auch eine Fahrt mit dem Kettenkarussell 5 Dollar pro Person ^^ und das war noch eine der günstigsten Fahrten ^^

Hier zum Schluss noch meine Mitbringsel ^^
On Tuesday we went to Bodega Bay. Many of you may know this town from the Hitchcock movie "the Birds"
First of all we checked out the important movie locations like the church and the schoolhouse. After this we showed up in a small shop which seemed to be a museum about the movie. You were able to buy shirts, caps, postcards and many other things from the movie ^^
There we stopped and hat lunch before we went to the Tides restaurant and the gas station but unfortunatly there was not much left that reminds to the movie..
but it was a nice little town :)
After Bodega Bay we drove to the Sonoma county fair like every year ^^
There is always so much to see. There were exhibitions of child and adult art, cakes, handicraft, own grown vegetables or flowers and so on..
There was a big hall where you could buy all kinds of stuff, too and of course I bought something ^^ I show you later ^^
we had dinner there which meant pestonudels for me and mexican food for my parents and stepbrother^^
that day I realized how cheap Germany is.. a ride on a carussel was 5 $ per person and a fax about 20 $
